Husband and wife Brendan and Laura are behind the funky wines of Unico Zelo. They work with a lot of Italian varietals because of their resistance to the hot climate of South Australia. ‘Esoterico’ has become one of their most cult-followed wines since they began. They didn’t have a preconceived idea of what the wine should taste like, with its chief driver pure, mouthwatering drinkability, making it a fun wine for them to craft. Grown on ancient sandy limestone soils. 7 to 21 days of skin contact for playful tannins, bottled unfined and unfiltered for hazy texture. It’s energetic, bright, and fresh. This is the perfect introduction to orange wine for newcomers and pleasantly crushable for amber wine aficionados alike.
